Site specific design……...that’s the operative
phrase for this project. The location for the
Goddard residence has wonderful long range views
in three directions, so this hybrid timber frame
home was designed with equal emphasis on the
family’s lifestyle and the long range mountain
vistas. There are many areas of the house that
are well connected to the outdoors, the long
range views and the daily path of the sun.
Morning sun in the bedroom suite and southern
sun streaming into the kitchen and dining area
will keep life bright and cheery. Long range
views to the north, the covered porch with its
fireplace and easy access to the gardens and
landscaped areas will make the great room the
center of activity in this home. Slated for
construction early in 2009, it may be hard to
leave home in the mornings for school and work.
