A cozy vacation retreat near downtown Blowing
Rock, North Carolina, the Tucked Inn is a very
appropriately named residence. Although the home
presented numerous design challenges, it is
nestled among existing structures without
feeling intrusive to the neighborhood. The
owners had a good concept of what they wanted
and injected many creative and tasteful ideas
into the design. This custom mountain home
actually spans a small creek on the site and the
interior window and door trim is cherry that was
harvested from the site. The Tucked Inn is
furnished with local art and hand crafted
furniture that puts the finishing touches on a
mountain retreat extraordinaire.
